The International Thespian Society is the honor society for high school theatre students—and Troupe 1602 at Westside High School is proud to celebrate the dedication, creativity, and leadership of our performers, technicians, and theatre scholars.
Membership Requirements
Become part of a prestigious honor society recognizing excellence in theatre! Troupe 1602 at Westside High invites students in grades 9–12 who are passionate about the arts and meet the following criteria
Earn a minimum of 10 Thespian points through participation in school or community theatre: onstage, backstage, technical roles, festivals, or troupe leadership
Maintain active engagement: attend meetings, contribute to productions, and support the troupe throughout the year

Nebraska Festival January 8-10
Westside’s troupe traditionally attends the Nebraska State Thespian Festival, a 3‑day event filled with workshops, competitions, master classes, and networking with theatre students statewide
